PCM is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of positive displacement pumps and advanced fluid-handling equipment. The company was founded in 1932 by René Moineau, the inventor of the Progressing Cavity Pump.
They specialize in pumping solutions for the lifting, transferring and dosing of abrasive, fragile, viscous, corrosive, hot or heavy products.
PCM Pompes has historically been the first CompoData customer (since 1995).
The Configurator covers the whole "Environment" market, the most complex product range : it is connected to the Caméléon (Access-Commerce) system, upstream as a supplyer of part of the product definition data, and downstream for manufacturing.
The Configurator can be accessed by the sales forces on the Intranet, and by main customers on the Internet (with different user profiles), to generate technical proposals, quotations, data-sheets, and other customised technical documents, and also CAD representations (2D) of the proposed products

Leroy-Somer Motors (www.leroysomer.com)

Leroy-Somer, a subsidiary of the US Emerson Group, is one of the world's leaders in the area of drive systems and energy production.
Leroy-Somer has been a CompoData customer sinc end 1999, and the Configurator has been operational since mid-2000.
To-date in version 5, the Configurator covers nearly 450 Motors and Gears Catalogues, which are configurable products with astronomical option combinations.
800 technico-commercial proposals are daily issued from the Configurator, which is now the heart of a dematerialization of the sales process currently on the run.
The Configurator is accessible in 13 languages (among which chineese), on the Intranet, by the 450 worldwide sales points, and on the Internet in public controled access (over 10 000 different prospects have already been connected) : it generates, on-line, a complete data-sheet including a dimensionning drawing assembled on the fly, as well as CAD representations, in 2D and 3D.
It is connected to the JD.Edwards ERP for Order management.

Salmson is one of the world's leaders in the area of water centrifugal pumps
Salmson has been a CompoData customer since 1999, after a previous experiment with the Cincom Configurator.
A main feature of the Salmson Configurator (SELECSON) is the functional selection process, which is based upon the specification of operating conditions (flow, pressure), compared with pumps operating curves (a process which required no programming).
The SELECSON and EXCHANGE are in free access on Salmson's web site : it generates in the order of one hundred proposals per day, and provides, for each, a complete data-sheet including operating curves, dimensional drawing, and electrical connection schema, and also 2D CAD representations.
It is connected with PIVOTAL CRM for proposal management.

Garlock France, a subsidiary of Enpro Industries group, is a world's leader in the area of high technology Seals (e.g. nuclear seals). Seals are among the most complex products for selection and dimensionning, above all in severe environments ; however, no programming was necessary for the implementation.
Garlock has been a CompoData customer since 2002.
The Garlock e-Catalogue covers two main products ranges (Cefil'air and Hélicoflex) ; it is accessible by the sales forces, on the Intranet.
It is connected to the Solidworks CAD system for the realization of detailed customer drawings, and with the Windchill PLM system for technical proposals management.
Beyond data-sheet and quotation, it also provides manufacturing documents .

Multimedis is a subsidiary of the Edouard Leclerc Stores Group, which designs and assembles PCs to measures : "the only configurator on the market, which guarantees a complete compatibility between all the selected components", while the total openness (tens of different processors, mother boards, graphic cards, disks, memories, …) provides an astronomical potential choice, with numerous and complex constraints on different layers.
Multimedis has been a CompoData customer since 2005.
The Multimedis Configurator is in public access on the E.Leclerc web site (http://www.e-leclerc.com/).
It provides the user with a complete specification of his configuration.
It is connected to an extrenally developped proposal management system, and also to an internally developped Multimedis ERP.

Prud'homme Transmissions(www.prudhomme-trans.com)

Prud'homme Transmissions has been a french market leader in the area of mechanical transmission components for over 50 years.
Prud'homme has been a CompoData customer since 2000.
The e-Catalogue contains in the order of 800 products families, and intelligently manages links between complimentary products (e.g. : chains <> pinions) ; it is interfaced with a Flash version of the conventional paper catalogue in which the user can turn over pages, with an automatic switch from page to pertaining Family inside the Configurator, both ways.
It provides the user with a detailed data-sheet, generated on the fly, and also a 2D CAD representation.
It is connected with the Prod'homme internal ERP.

SNECMA(www.snecma.fr)

SNECMA (now called Safran) is a company "dedicated to aerospatial propulsion, which designs, develops, and manufactures Motors ".
SNECMA has been a CompoData customer since 1999.
SNECMA uses CompoData to manage standard parts which are used in planes or rocket motors.
The system manages links between complimentary components (e.g. : screw <> nut) ; it connected with CATIA CAD System to which it provides geometric instanciation directives to parameterized models.
The system is only accessible from SNECMA Intranet.

LIPPI La Clôture(www.lippi.fr)

LIPPI is a french market leader in the area of Fences. Lippi manufactures fences components (panels, posts, lattices, clips, …) and portals, for diverse and various usages.
LIPPI has been a CompoData customer since 2006.
LIPPI uses CompoData to enable its sales forces to configure fences and generate complete commercial proposals, essentially targetted to setters and insitutions (prisons, hospitals, …).
The commercial proposal can then be automatically converted into an Order, inside the ADONIX ERP.
