Origins and Profile :
The CompoData Company was created in 1994, on exclusively private fundings.
Its founder, Jacques-Marie Moranne, has a solid back-ground in CAD and associated standard parts Databases.
J.M. Moranne had been specially involved in ISO-STEP standardisation on those subjects, and had driven, in consortium with Aerospatiale (EADS), Dassault, Giat-Industry, Direction des Constructions Navales (DCN), PSA, Matra, Schneider, a CAD Standard Parts Library development, to run on any 3D CAD system.
To-day, CompoData can pride itself on providing probably the most powerful and easy-to-implement on-line Configurator worlwide.
CompoData is a pure Editor :
we sell the same product to all our customers, without any specific development ;
we exclusively train to our products ;
we accompany our customers in implementing our products ;
we provide all the necessary assistance for their integration (which has always been proven to be very easy).
CompoData has significant references, operational for several years : for instance, with their Configurator, Leroy-Somer generates nearly 800 proposals per day, of highly configurable and complex products.
The company was recently acquired by the IGE+XAO Group, a leader in the area of electrical engineering CAD, which intends to integrate components configurators, in their different market solutions (e.g. Cabinet design, Distribution, Harness design, …). Read more >>>>
